While Friends of the Royal Oak were for some time still working on this project in the background, efforts to develop a new scheme and build a stronger committee didn't work.

In the meantime, a new group has formed called The Oak Project. This group are picking up more or less where we left off in attempting to bring the Royal Oak building back into use. We are very pleased to support their efforts and will be offering them any help we can provide.

In the next few weeks, this group will be winding up and all assets will be passed to the Oak Project, including a small sum of money raised from the general public as match funding.
